Registration
We have been advised by the Scottish Borders Junior Football Association (SBJFA) that we must fulfil a registration dictat from The Scottish Football Association(SFA) This will ensure that “The Club” and all its members are fully covered by the required insurance to cover us in the event of injury / public liability etc.

RE-START 2011-12 SEASON
We start up again for the second half of this season on Saturday 25th Feb. at 10.00am for 8s/10s/12s/ with the 14s starting outdoor training on Wednesday 1st February at 6.30pm . The 15s (AM Utd) start training at Ancrum on Friday 3rd February at 7.00pm.
Session times on Saturdays will be as usual at 10.15 -11.15 am. Fixture matches may over-run these times. Anyone wishing to continue with the 13s should contact Ray Fenton on 07970 363118 as this group are now made up of boys born on/after 1st Jan 1999 and will be including boys from Lauder and Earlston Clubs with training on a Wednesday evening at Earlston High School .
For those Parents who paid the £10.00 subscriptions in August , the second £10.00 payment is now due (Ancrum squads only). Please arrange to pay this on Saturday 25th February. Or for 14s on Wednesday 8th February The 8s will continue to operate in 2 squads and will play “tournament fixtures” on a similar format to our Autumn session. The Teams in our “regional group” may change slightly, I am awaiting the confirmation from The Scottish Borders Junior Football Association. First fixtures will probably be on Saturday 3rd March.for all age groups and the 14s will start fixtures on Sunday 4th March. I will confirm fixtures directly and on the website as soon as possible.
Please advise any parents of young kids of school age that they will be made very welcome to join us along with their pals when the new season gets under way in August. Please ensure all children are properly equipped with studded football boots/shin pads and appropriate clothing to suit the ever changing weather!!!
N.B. Club kit is only issued for fixture matches. They should also bring along their own still water or juice in a suitable container.
In the event of inclement weather we will always try to put out a cancellation message on Radio Borders (appx. By 9.15am on a Saturday morning). If you are in any doubt contact any of the coaches as below:
We have a very loyal team of coaches looking after the various age groups but there will be some changes for this season.
Under 8s John Parker & Brian Barrie
Under 9s/10s Paul Ross and Tony Lockey
Under 11s//12s Robbie Scott and Gordon Brown
Under 14s Tom Wardrop and John Smith
We really do need more volunteers/assistants, particularly at away fixtures. Don’t be shy… if you would like to lend a hand and support from time/time and can be called on at short notice then speak to any of the coaching staff. Should you wish to take up coaching or know of anyone who may wish to get involved full training is available through The Scottish Borders Youth Football Association (SBYFA) and the good news is Ancrum FC pays all the fees!!!
Finally we will endeavour to put out updates/info/fixtures as much as possible on The Club’s website - www.ancrumjfc.co.uk

To meet this request all parents will be required to sign a player registration document which carries all the contact information which you provided us with when you registered your child with us in August 2011. New recruits will obviously be required to sign this document also. Coaches will have the document available on Saturday 25th February for all kids in our 8s ; 9/10s; and 11/12s groups. Parents of children in the 14s group should speak to Tom Wardrop at Wednesday training and Tom will let you know when the document will be available for you to sign.
IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THIS REQUEST IS FULFILLED ASAP …. IF WE DO NOT COMPLY WE WILL BE UNABLE TO PLAY FIXTURE MATCHES FOR THE REMAINDER OF THIS SEASON … YOUR COOPERATION WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED.
John Parker; Chairman
